When and where are the practices?

We have 3 practices a week, depending on the coachs' availability. We need flexibility for this as all of the coaches are volunteers and have full work schedules and family obligations. We’ll have an idea as we get closer to the season.

When are games played?

Games are played on Saturday usually in the morning to early afternoon. Our home games are at Manhattan Middle School.

How long is the season?

The season runs from July 29 - Nov 2. The first week is a conditioning non contact week and the last 3 weeks are playoffs.

What is the cost to register?

Early bird registration is $325 per person. It increases to $375 on June 1. This covers home and away jerseys. Scholarship money is available to those that express financial hardships. Payment plans can be arranged and we request that scholarship families contribute as much money towards the official cost as they can. Also scholarship players will be required to participate in fundraising events.

Where can I purchase equipment?

Play It Again Sports in Boulder has a great selection of used and new football equipment as well as the appropriate gold colored helmets, which is required. Dicks Sporting Goods also has a great selection of equipment.

What are our player and team expectations?

The number one priority of Boulder Bears football is safety. We strive to ensure our players are safe in their techniques and approach to the game. Player safety is paramount and is stressed upon by every Board member and every Coach on the field. That being said if a coach feels that a player is unable to protect themselves their playing time will be limited until they can do so.

We expect every player to respect the game, their teammates, the referees, the opposing team, and any other person associated with the sport both on and off the field.

We expect every player to have a good attitude at all times. To be committed to their teammates, their coaches and themselves. To be timely to practices and games. If unable to attend practices and games, coaches expect to be notified so that they can plan accordingly.

We expect every player to learn and understand the game, to listen to their coaches and to try their hardest in every opportunity they get. And to always pick up their teammates and to never talk negatively about another player.

We expect every player to take pride in being a Bear, but most of all we expect every Bear to have FUN!
